Tulum is where the Maya walled city stands. This used to be a primary port for Coba. The ruins are located on top of a 12-meter cliff along the eastern coast of Yucatan Peninsula in Quintana Roo. This was one of the last cities that were built by the Mayans. They reigned supreme from the 13th to 15th century.

It would be a mistake to visit Mexico and leave this place out of your travel itinerary.
