There are many small but lovely towns in Spain that are worth exploring. Go on a side trip to see the town of Barrika located in the Biscay province in the Basque Country. The area can be found in the northern part of the country.
Barrika, being the oldest municipality in the province, has a colorful history. In 496, it was founded by Sancho Vela and since then has flourished in terms of economy and tourism particularly in the later years of the 20th century. There are archaeological sites and historic attractions in the town that you should see while you’re here.
