Tham Lod Cave in Pang Mapha Thailand

Tham Lod Cave in Pang Mapha Thailand

Entering Tham Lod Cave in Pang Mapha Thailand

You can probably easily imagine yourself bathing on a beach in Thailand or indulging in some delicious Thai cuisine. It may be more difficult to picture yourself in one of Thailand’s caves. They are not as commonly hyped as the beaches, resorts, or tasty dishes, but they should be. This particular cave, the Tham Lod Cave, is situated near Pang Mapha, Thailand and it should be on your list of ‘To-Do in Thailand’ the next time you visit the islands.

It is a mysterious and eery escape from the bright, blue and bustling beaches. In the cave, you’ll find the expected stalagmites and stalactites that are typical of caves. But, if you’re lucky, you could also stumble upon some teakwood remnants of tribes from long ago. Many artifacts have already been found in the Tham Lod Cave, and if you take a stroll through this incredible cave, you can delight in the fact that you’re treading (lightly) on a bit of deep history!
