Stunning Wildlife Scene in Africa - The Perfect Sunset

If your heart calls for an incredible adventure, one of your best options in destinations is Africa. The photo above is more than enough testament as to why this is so. But wait until you see it up close, the stunning wildlife scene will leave you breathless.

In the earlier years, traders would flock to Africa to go hunting and to get wild game trophies they could brag about. But now, travelers know better than to kill these amazing species, and come here instead for photo opportunities.

Scenes that have fascinated people from way back remain to mesmerize present travelers–zebras running gracefully through the expansive plains, flocks of hot pink flamingos amid the sparkling lake, and the fierce battle between lions and leopards. Indeed, safaris offer a vacation like no other.

Many travelers are not aware of this but there are actually various types of safaris. Knowing these will give you an idea on what type you’d prefer, and how much you can afford.

The most expensive is the luxury safari, which costs thousands of dollars per person. This hefty price is inclusive of all tours, excursions, foods, drinks, and stylish accommodations. It’s perfect for those who’d like to experience an African safari but are not thrilled about the idea of “roughing it”.

A more affordable type is the overland or mobile safari. It’s the cheapest organized tour. It would have you staying over at a campsite and traveling with other tourists. You’re also expected to contribute to chores like setting camps, pitching tents, cleaning up, and cooking meals.

There’s also a safari type called self-drive, which involves renting your own car and driving through a public game park. It’s the DIY of safaris. It’s only allowed in public parks, which are equipped with roads and signs. So no need to worry about getting lost, and getting eaten by lions or tigers.

But since you’re doing this by yourself, you might miss out on some wildlife species, which is why it’s good if you can research about this in advance, or hire a personal tour guide.

Whether you’re going on a luxury, mobile or DIY safari, you’ll surely have an incredible experience that you can’t wait to tell your family and friends about.
