You can’t come to England and not see the Stonehenge prehistoric monument. The site is situated in Wiltshire, a few miles from Amesbury and Salisbury. This is indeed one of the world’s most famous sites, which is why they’re familiar to many people. What you’ll see are the remains of what used to be a ring of standing stones that are set within earthworks. Historians believe that this was built sometime between the 3000 BC to 2000 BC.
