St. Stephen’s Cathedral Vienna Austria

The current seat of the Archbishop of Vienna is St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which is also one of the most visited attractions in Austria. What we see right now is a cathedral with Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles, as initiated by the Duke Rudolf IV. One of its most distinct features is its multi-colored tiled roof, also a distinguished symbol of the city.

Dominating the skyline of the city is the south tower of the church which stands at 136 meters or 446 feet high. The construction of the entire cathedral took place from 1368 to 1433, a total of 65 years.
