Notre Dame (Duc Ba Sai Gon) Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

One of the most important churches in Vietnam that you should visit while you’re here is the Notre Dame Cathedral officially known as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Built by French colonists from 1863 to 1880, the cathedral is sitting somewhere in the downtown area of Ho Chi Minh City. It is 58 meters or 190 feet tall, and has two main bell towers.

An interesting facet about this church is that all the materials used to build it were imported from France including those tiles with the word carvings: Guichard Carvin, Marseille St. Andre France.
