Apart from stunning places, events can also attract tourists to spend their vacation in a certain country. In Japan, one of the most awaited events enjoyed by both locals and tourists is the Nagasaki Lantern Festival, which takes place for three weeks starting either from late January or early February. During this time, practically the entire city is covered in beautiful lanterns of orange and yellow.
While you’re here for the festival, you might as well tour the city and visit some of its top attractions like the Peace Park, War Museum, Dejima Wharf and Glover Gardens.
