In Thailand, it’s not only the places that will attract you to this country but so would the colorful events and festivals. In Koh Chang, there’s this event called the Loy Krathong Festival that attracts hundreds of tourists and locals each year.
It takes place on the night of full moon of the 12th lunar month each year. This year, it falls on November 25. People throughout the country prepare their kratongs and decorate them with banana, flowers, candles, coconut leaves, incense sticks and more. This tradition started in the 13th century in Sukhothai, which was Thailand’s capital city at that time.
