Croatia has many interesting attractions that would impress any traveler. Among its top national parks, the Krka National Park welcomes visitors with outstanding natural scenery, thick forests, amazing wildlife and stunning waterfalls.
Situated along the Krka River in the central part of Dalmatia, the park was established to protect not only the Krka River but the surrounding forests and flora and fauna. Not only that, this has also become a venue for many important scientific, recreational, cultural and tourism activities. It became a national park in 1985.
