Iguazu Falls Argentina and Brazil Facts

One of the largest waterfalls in the world can be found in Brazil and Argentina, particularly on the border that separates Parana (a Brazilian state) and Misiones (a province in Argentina). It measures 2,700 meters in a semi-round shape. It is comprised of 275 falls, the tallest of which is the Devil’s Throat, towering at 80 meters. It divides the Iguazu River into upper and lower sections. The surrounding area serves as home to more than 2,000 species of plants, and even more species of animals. To name a few, there are jaguars, caymans, tapirs, howler monkeys, ocelots, and giant anteaters, among many others residing in the thick forests that surround the falls.
