This castle, located south of Stuttgart is the ancestral home of the Hohenzollern family, who were the German emperors during the Middle Ages.
It sits atop the Mount Hohenzollern at 855 meters above sea level. It is right above the towns of Bisingen and Hechingen. Since its construction in the 11th century, it witnessed many significant milestones in German history including the crowning of the Wilhelm II, among others.
