You won’t run out of things to do while you’re at the Glacier National Park in Montana, USA. The park, which lies on the border of the United States and Canadian provinces like British Columbia and Alberta, spans more than one million acres of land. The area includes two mountain ranges, over a hundred lakes, and more than a thousand species of plants and animals. It’s no wonder the place has been hailed as the “crown of the continent ecosystem”.
The first residents of the park were Native Americans. But European explorers dominated the place upon their arrival. The historic chalets and hotels that can be found in the area have been included in the lists of National Historic Landmarks and National Register of Historic Places.
