The Glacier Lagoon is said to be one of nature’s greatest wonders that can be found in Iceland. Located close to Highway number one, it is about 230 miles or 370 kilometers from Reykjavik, the country’s coastal capital and biggest city. At 250 meters deep, the Glacier Lagoon is the deepest in the country.
This lagoon was formed because of the warming climate. Blocks of ice have been constantly breaking off from the glacier Breiðamerkurjökull and these icebergs flow into the lagoon. The result is a stunning sight that wows many travelers.
