Ginkgo Tree Tunnel in Japan

Ginkgo Tree Tunnel in Japan

Ginkgo Tree Tunnel in Japan

Some of the most spectacular tunnels in the world are not made by man but by nature. And many of these are lined with spectacular trees. Is there anything more magical than walking along a path lined with trees whose branches naturally bend over to create a romantic natural tunnel and are filled up above with verdant leaves and flowers?

One of the best tree tunnels in the world can be found in Japan. It is the Ginkgo Tree Tunnel, which as the name implies, is covered with Ginkgo Biloba trees. There are over 65,000 Ginkgo trees in Japan, and some of them can be found in this tunnel located in the Meiji shrine outer garden.
