Floating Umbrellas in Agueda, Portugal

The “Floating Umbrellas” is an art installation by Sextaferia in Agueda, Portugal. This is one of the many features of the annual Agitagueda Art Festival. The walkways covered with brightly colored umbrellas look a lot nicer. And the umbrellas provide shade as well. This is the second time the art installation was used. The first one was last year, also for the festival.

If you’re coming to Portugal for a vacation, it would be a great idea to time your trip during the festivals so you get a glimpse of its colorful local traditions.
