Antoni Gaudi has designed many of the most impressive architectural structures in Spain. And one of these is the Casa Batllo located in the heart of Barcelona. The project was actually a remodel of a home that was previously built in that area. Gaudi redesigned it in 1904 to give it the art noveau style that he is known all the world for.
Construction took place from 1904 to 1906. The building covers a surface area of over 5,000 square meters. It overlooks the Passeig de Gracia. Locals call this building Casa Dels Ossos or House of Bones because of its “skeletal organic quality”.
