No person traveling to Arizona should miss the state’s canyons, which are among the most stunning in the world. Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon that can be found in the Navajo land in the city of page, features two slot canyon sections: the Upper Antelope Canyon, also called the Crack, and the Antelope Canyon otherwise known as the Corkscrew.
These canyons were formed during the erosion of Navajo Sandstone, caused by flash flooding and rainwaters during the monsoon season. A top tourist destination, Antelope Canyon has allowed private companies to offer tours since the 1980s. Because of dangers of flash floods, it can only be accessed through official guided tours.
